About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Sustainability Specialist to join our dynamic team at Glencore International AG. As an Environmental Sustainability Specialist, you will play a key role in developing and implementing environmental management systems that underpin our operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement environmental management systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to operations teams to ensure environmental sustainability is integrated into daily activities.
  • Manage community and stakeholder relationships to ensure effective engagement and communication.
  • Conduct environmental monitoring and reporting to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement biodiversity offset management, pest management, air quality management, and cultural heritage management programs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement environmental management systems.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in Applied Science, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of environmental legislation and community liaison.
  • Proven experience in environmental management, with a focus on sustainability and community engagement.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage with stakeholders.
