About Our Council

The Role

As CEO, you will report directly to the Mayor and work closely with Councillors to deliver on a bold vision for economic development, community wellbeing, and cultural celebration. You will guide strategic planning, ensure operational excellence across all areas of Council, and build local capacity, fostering small business growth and enhancing services that directly impact the lives of residents.

About You

This role is ideal for a leader who thrives in a dynamic, hands-on environment and is enthusiastic about empowering Indigenous communities. With experience working at CEO or Director level in QLD Local Government, you will bring strong governance, financial, and people leadership skills, along with the ability to build trust and foster collaboration.
