Role Overview

Senior Mining Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mining Engineer to fill a senior technical position. This role offers the opportunity to influence mine performance and drive operational efficiency through innovative planning and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing practical and optimised designs and schedules for mine operations.
  • Communicating plans and managing execution with operational stakeholders.
  • Leading and mentoring a team of Mining Engineers to achieve business objectives.
  • Driving operational efficiency through proactive planning and continuous improvement initiatives.

This role requires an engineer with strong technical and interpersonal skills who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of open-cut mining experience with a focus on mine planning and execution.
  • Proficiency in mine planning software such as Vulcan, SPRY, or Deswik.
  • Strong communication and planning skills, with the ability to mentor others and coordinate across teams.
