Civil Engineer Role

We are seeking a Civil Site Engineer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to work on various projects across Sydney's Northwest and Southwest regions.


About the Role

This role will involve working closely with our project teams to ensure the successful delivery of civil engineering projects. You will be responsible for implementing quality, health, safety, and environmental management plans, as well as monitoring and updating the construction program and site activity.


Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize your understanding of drawings, specifications, and quality, health, safety, and environmental requirements for all site-related activities.
  • Support the implementation of project quality, health, safety, and environmental management plans on all projects.
  • Assist with daily project monitoring for toolbox inspections, checklists, documentation, and record keeping.
  • Assist with the monitoring and updating of the construction program and site activity.
  • Ensure materials are procured in advance of the construction program.
  • Assist in monitoring daily work activities to maximize the utilization of plant and resources.
  • Implement improvements for managing site-related costs.

Requirements
  • A degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
  • 1-2+ years previous experience as an Engineer in the civil industry, ideally within residential subdivisions/bulk earthworks.
  • A current White Card & Drivers Licence.
  • A strong commitment to health, safety, environment, and quality standards and practices.
  • Excellent relationship-building, influencing, and negotiation skills.
  • A proactive and positive attitude, with the ability to show initiative and take ownership.
  • Strong communication and organization skills, including strong attention to detail.
  • Strategic and analytical thinking skills with the ability to problem-solve.
  • Confidence in using technology, including CRM-based applications and proficiency across the Microsoft Office suite.
