This is an exciting opportunity to join Yancoal's dynamic team as a skilled heavy equipment operator. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of a range of heavy machinery, including dump trucks, dozers, graders, and diggers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner
  • Conduct regular equipment inspections and report any issues to the OCE/Supervisor
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve project goals and objectives
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge

About You

We are seeking an experienced and skilled heavy equipment operator who possesses the following attributes:

  • Previous experience in the operation and maintenance of heavy equipment in a mining or heavy industry environment
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations, including the Coal Mining Safety and Health Act
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to identify and report hazards and safety issues
  • Commitment to maintaining a positive and productive work environment

Requirements

  • Applicable Coal Competencies
  • Current Standard 11 Mine Induction (Surface)
  • Current Queensland Driver's Licence
  • Current QLD Coal Board Medical
