Early Childhood Education Specialist

Eciavic is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Preschool Field Officer. This is a unique opportunity for individuals passionate about early childhood education to make a significant impact in the lives of children and families.
Key Responsibilities:- Enhance the capacity and confidence of early childhood educators to provide inclusive programs that cater to the needs of all children.
- Provide consultative support, resources, and practical advice to assist kindergarten teachers in developing responsive and engaging programs.
- Assist kindergartens in linking families with support services and resources for children with developmental concerns and broader child and family needs.
- Manage referrals from early childhood services, families, and specialist agencies, ensuring effective outreach and connection.
- Work with early childhood services to develop strategies that promote participation by children with disabilities, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander backgrounds, culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, and families at risk.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client and service records, including reports for funding bodies using designated databases and filing systems.
- Promote a positive image of Eciavic to the community through a commitment to professional standards and high-level customer service practices.
- Strong understanding of evidenced-based practice, child development, and planning and evaluating responsive early childhood programs.
- Ability to thrive in a team environment, contributing professional expertise and coaching practices as an equal.
- Working knowledge of the National Education and Care Act and Regulations, Child Safe Legislation, Early Years Learning Framework, and National Quality Standards.
- Broad experience in funded kindergarten programs in community kindergartens and/or integrated early childhood services.
- Capacity to work with children of all abilities and cultural backgrounds, including children from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander backgrounds.
- Additional qualifications in special and/or inclusive education and/or experience working in early childhood early intervention settings are desirable.
- A current Driver's License in the state of Victoria is essential.
