Qube Ports provides comprehensive port solutions and logistics services, catering to bulk and general handling facilities in over 40 Australian, New Zealand, and South East Asian ports.
We have a subsidiary called Qube Energy/Forestry.
The leading Stevedoring, Bulk Logistics, and Port Management service provider in Australia, we manage 25 sites for the forestry industry in Australia and New Zealand.
We are also the leading provider of supply chain logistics services to the energy sector, supporting thousands of onshore wells and rig supply vessels, barges, and offshore construction vessels annually.
We provide purpose-designed solutions for our customers, handling containers, bulk, automotive, and general cargo.

About The Role
This hands-on leadership role is integral in managing our Stevedoring operations and driving operational and safety performance.
The successful applicant will thrive on working in a dynamic environment and be committed to quality and continuous improvement with a focus on safety and customer performance standards.
Hrs are irregular and shifts will vary from day to day. There will be a requirement to work at other ports within the state as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organise, and manage operations achieving safe and effective results, including vessel planning and allocation of labour.
- Lead, motivate, and direct employees to perform their functions in accordance with safety and operational standards.
- Ensure statutory obligations and company policies regarding Human Resources, WHS&E are adhered to at all times.
- Manage individual employee performance, including discipline, grievances, and training, in conjunction with the Operations Manager.
- Evaluate security requirements and ensure adequate security is maintained on site at all times.
- Liaise with clients in relation to the progress of their operations and establish productive relationships.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and standard operating procedures of Qube and client organisations.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Sound technical knowledge and experience in vessel operations and planning.
- Previous experience leading and managing people.
- Knowledge of WHS&E requirements and obligations.
- Ability to understand awards and workplace agreements.
- PC Literacy.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with various people.
- Capacity to work shift work at short notice and hours necessary to fulfill the requirements of the position.
Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum based on location and experience.
