About This Role

This key position involves leading the assessment, validation, and lifecycle management of pavement assets across the state. As a crucial member of our team, you'll play a significant role in ensuring that pavement infrastructure is safe, sustainable, and aligned with long-term transport goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough condition assessments of pavement assets to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Manage data collection projects for pavement assets, overseeing scope, budget, and quality assurance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors to validate asset data and improve inspection outcomes.
  • Provide expert technical advice on pavement design, maintenance strategies, and risk mitigation.
  • Support the development and review of asset management standards and guidelines.
  • Drive innovation in pavement lifecycle planning and performance monitoring.
  • Contribute to emergency response and asset-related incident investigations as required.

This role requires a curious mind and transferrable skills and experiences, including:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline, with at least 5 years' experience in pavement asset management.
  • Strong understanding of asset lifecycle principles, inspection protocols, and infrastructure standards.
  • Experience managing technical projects in transport or infrastructure environments.
  • Familiarity with HSE practices and Safe Work Method Statements.
  • Ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
  • Proven stakeholder engagement and the ability to influence technical outcomes.
  • Experience with large-scale civil infrastructure or road maintenance programs is highly regarded.
