Aquaculture Team Lead in South Australia

Macro Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aquaculture Manager or Aquaculture Team Leader to oversee Oyster Production Operations for a leading oyster producer in Franklin Harbour, South Australia.
Key Responsibilities:- Leading and Empowering Teams: Leading and empowering a team of aquaculture attendants and graduates to achieve production, quality, and safety goals.
- Husbandry and Maintenance: Overseeing routine husbandry tasks to ensure optimal animal health and performance, as well as troubleshooting any biological or infrastructure issues that arise.
- Operational Management: Operating boats, forklifts, grading equipment, and ensuring asset maintenance, while monitoring compliance with quality and sustainability standards.
- Coordination and Communication: Coordinating with production, quality, and R&D teams to ensure smooth operations, and preparing and reporting daily activities, incidents, and performance metrics.
- Proven Experience: Proven experience in aquaculture or marine science, with strong leadership and team management skills.
- Licenses and Certifications: Coxswain and forklift licences are essential.
