About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Lead to join our team at Randstad Digital. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for leading the development of new code, uplifting existing code, and delivering requirements for enhancements and improvements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Software Development Lifecycle: Participate in the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) to develop and maintain a C# based, n-tier, enterprise software and associated documentation.
  • Automated Build and Deployment: Develop automated application build and deployment scripts using technologies such as Team Foundation Server (TFS), PowerShell, and FinalBuilder.
  • Scrum Development Methodology: Follow the Scrum Development Methodology for all software development projects.
  • Technical Liaison: Liaise with technical and business area staff to facilitate the rapid resolution of issues and/or faults within fielded production systems and those still under development.
  • Team Leadership: Lead development team through workload allocation and mentoring and advising on agile development processes.
  • Schedule Management: Develop and regularly maintain system development schedules to ensure milestones and timelines are met.
  • Communication: Ensure that outcomes are effectively communicated to the product owners, establishing the basis for future practice.
  • Sprint Progress: Track sprint progress and identify any divergence from allocated tasks.
  • System Showcases: Oversee and present system showcases to various stakeholders as required.
  • Product Planning: Understand the product planning lifecycle and effectively manage the product backlog in collaboration with the Product Owner and Scrum Master.
  • Agile Rituals: Contribute to daily, weekly, and monthly Agile rituals, helping to ensure they are run effectively and efficiently.
  • Roadblock Clearance: Proactively (and reactively) identify and clear organisational roadblocks and interferences that may distract development.
  • Stakeholder Facilitation: Facilitate development across stakeholder groups.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Share code and development learnings back to the Developer Centre of Excellence to inform continuous improvement.
