Job Opportunity

We are seeking a Full-Time Custodian to join our team in Alice Springs, NT - Australia. As a Custodian, you will provide housekeeping services for temporary quarter (TQ) lodging, cleaning services across site, and laundry services on site for USG, GOA, contracted employees, and business travelers.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct assigned site custodial tasks, including Ops Building, Tech, and Support areas
  • Conduct laundry facilities duties for TQs
  • Polish floors and steam clean carpets using custodial equipment
  • Provide highly rated customer service to customers
  • Dust and remove cobwebs
  • Remove rubbish from TQs, Ops Building, Tech, and Support areas
  • Maintain necessary supplies in TQs, Ops Building, Tech, and Support areas
  • Maintain and store inventory of custodial supplies
  • Ensure health and safety practices are promoted and maintained at site and workplace

Requirements

  • Certificate in Health Support Services
  • Certificate in Hospitality
  • Field: Hospitality
  • Driver's License
  • CPR
  • White Card
  • Working at Heights
  • Hygiene (Food Handling)
  • Health Safety Representative Training

Experience and Skills

3 to 5 years' experience in Hospitality/Industrial Custodial industry

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands

  • Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 10kgs independently, kneeling, standing, and walking, routinely sitting, and constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, and ability to work under deadlines.

Statement of Work Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Able to fluently read, write, and speak English
  • Australian or US citizen

EHS Requirement

All Amentum personnel are responsible for understanding and complying with site environmental, health, and safety requirements. While Amentum is responsible for providing a safe workplace and ensuring compliance with requirements, each person is responsible for:

  • Completing work tasks in a safe manner
  • Reporting any unsafe acts or conditions to their supervisor and/or PMO/EHS Manager
  • Continuous adherence to environmental, health, and safety procedures outlined in the Handbook during work performance
  • Red-Carding a Job - Employee right and responsibility to 'STOP WORK' if a job is unsafe or poses a danger to the environment

Pre-Employment Checks

Applicants will be required to undertake pre-employment checks, including referee checks, criminal history checks, a pre-employment medical assessment, and drug test.

Security Clearance

It is a condition of employment that employees are Australian citizens or USA citizens to obtain and retain the appropriate level of security clearance, applicable to each role, as the employee will be required to obtain a security clearance.
