The Salvation Army is one of Australia's largest providers of alcohol and other drug services, offering a range of services including Harm Reduction and Primary Health Services as well as a range of treatment types. Our services operate in a four-storey building with roof top courtyard, which is wheelchair accessible and easily accessible by all forms of public transport.

About the Role

We are seeking a values-driven and proactive Residential AOD Services Manager to lead an effective and high functioning team of multi-disciplinary staff to deliver person-centred, high quality residential AOD services. The successful candidate will oversee the day to day operations of service delivery, ensure service delivery targets and organisational standards are achieved and funding body requirements are met.

This is a permanent, full-time position based in Surry Hills, with salary and conditions of employment in accordance with the SCHADS Award Level 5. Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the day to day operations of service delivery.
  • Ensure service delivery targets and organisational standards are achieved and funding body requirements are met.
  • Deal with referred complaints.
  • Line manage and supervise Support Workers and Senior Support Worker.
  • Build and maintain strong referral pathways with internal and external stakeholders, resulting in beneficial outcomes for participants.
  • Facilitate educational sessions with local school groups as required.
Requirements
  • A degree qualification in AOD, community services or related field or demonstrated high level of sector knowledge and skills attained through previous appointments, service, and study/development.
  • Relevant experience in supervising staff.
  • A current NSW Driver License.
