Job Description

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our high-performing Operations Team as a Lean Manufacturing Specialist. This is a hands-on role focused on driving measurable improvements across cost, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction by leading and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

You will work closely with operational teams across various sites to lead business improvement projects, embed lean methodologies, and foster a culture of innovation and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead cross-functional business improvement projects to deliver measurable performance outcomes in cost, quality, and safety.
  2. Mentor and train team members in lean principles, process mapping, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  3. Coach operations staff and leaders to embed sustainable improvement practices.
  4. Partner with Operations Managers to identify opportunities, develop ROI-based business cases, and manage project plans.
  5. Facilitate workshops and capability-building sessions to uplift operational excellence.
  6. Support change navigation and foster strong relationships across teams.
  7. Promote and embed a company-wide culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
  8. Identify and support internal change agents and recognize improvement champions.
  9. Maintain strong working relationships across Operations, Engineering, Projects, and HSEQ teams.
  10. Recommend and implement business improvement tools and initiatives that drive ongoing engagement and results.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Trade qualifications or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Lean manufacturing qualifications and a strong practical understanding of lean methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience leading business improvement initiatives in an industrial environment.
  • Ability to map processes, develop value stream diagrams, and lead problem-solving initiatives.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Project.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize workloads, and drive outcomes.
  • Strong facilitation, training, and leadership skills.
  • Experience in change management and stakeholder engagement.
