Job Title: Supplementary Stevedore

We are seeking a skilled and physically fit individual to join our team as a Supplementary Stevedore. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient loading and unloading of cargo at our terminal facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lashing: You will be responsible for securing shipping containers to the deck of a ship using heavy rigging equipment.
  • Pins: You will be required to lock and unlock heavy twist locks to secure containers together and to the deck of a ship.
  • Straddle driving: You will operate a 60-tonne heavy vehicle to move shipping containers.
Requirements:
  • A current and valid driver's licence
  • A current and valid forklift licence (LF)
  • Experience driving heavy machinery
  • Experience with shift work (day, evening and night shifts)
  • Experience with physical work or labouring
  • Experience in heavy industry such as warehousing, transport and logistics, construction, mining, or manufacturing
  • COVID vaccination
