Emergency Department Registered Nurse

Job Description:

As an Emergency Department Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department setting. Your role will involve assessing patients' conditions, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations. You will be expected to maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care, adhere to strict infection control and safety protocols, and stay up-to-date with the latest clinical guidelines and best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (unrestricted)
  • Minimum 4 years of nursing experience, including substantial and broad emergency department experience in Australian settings
  • Proficiency in triage, advanced life support, venepuncture, and cannulation
  • Confident working in small teams or independently in MPS settings
  • Strong critical thinking, assessment, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
