Transportation Expert

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Vehicle Road Transport Technician to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will have strong fault-finding and repair skills across drivetrains, hydraulics, and suspension.

• Responsibilities:
• • Maintain and repair heavy vehicles, including trucks, floats, and light vehicles.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and suppliers to ensure fleet efficiency and availability.
  • Conduct roadworthy inspections and complete service documentation accurately.
  • Perform both workshop-based and site servicing (field service).
  • Promote workplace health and safety compliance and contribute to safety-focused meetings.
  • Diagnose faults, perform repairs, and ensure compliance with safety and maintenance standards.

Requirements:

• At least 2 years' post-trade experience as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic.
• Background in civil, mining, transport, or agricultural environments is highly regarded.
• Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent.
• Current Driver's Licence - HR or HC desirable.
• White Card.

• Strong attention to detail and ownership over quality and safety.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Physical fitness and willingness to work flexible hours, including field servicing.

This role is critical to the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of our fleet. As a Heavy Vehicle Road Transport Technician, you will deliver high-quality servicing, diagnostics, and repairs across a diverse fleet that supports major infrastructure and civil construction projects.

As part of our dedicated maintenance team, you will work closely with supervisors and suppliers to maintain fleet efficiency and availability. You will also promote workplace health and safety compliance and contribute to safety-focused meetings.

Our fleet includes trucks, floats, trailers, light vehicles, and earthmoving equipment. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing these vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
