We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our Client Partnerships team at IBISWorld.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a skilled professional to develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, identifying new business opportunities and growing revenue through proactive sales efforts.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team. They will be responsible for researching and understanding each client's business needs, providing tailored solutions and delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively call existing clients to maintain and build relationships within the company, ensuring revenue targets are met by delivering value to our client base.
  • Expand our contacts beyond existing sources and develop a tailored value proposition across various areas within an organisation.
  • Proactively promote product awareness, while solution selling to cross-sell across your portfolio.
  • Meet the training needs of clients to ensure value is received, both via conversation and training (including product presentations to various user groups).
  • Deal with incoming queries, issues and the day-to-day needs of your clients as they arise.
  • Research and understand each client's business to identify new opportunities.
Requirements
  • Excellent phone and email communication skills.
  • Ability to speak with clients across a variety of industries and backgrounds.
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage numerous contacts, including scheduling, follow-up and establishing frequent points of interaction.
  • Confidence in your negotiation, numeracy and diplomacy skills.
  • A team player who can work with colleagues and other departments to achieve results.
  • The ability to also work autonomously.
