Electronics Design Engineering Role Overview

This senior electronics design engineer role presents a unique opportunity to leverage your technical expertise and drive innovation in the field of electronics design.

As a key member of our hardware team, you will be responsible for overseeing the design and development of electronic products from concept to manufacture. Your extensive experience and knowledge of analog and digital electronics will enable you to effectively lead projects and guide junior colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and execute electronic project design and development activities, encompassing concept, feasibility, schematic capture, PCB artwork, verification, testing, and manufacturing.
  • Act as a product lead and subject matter expert, providing guidance to clients and project teams on electronics design matters.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of the hardware team by developing your own skills and mentoring junior colleagues.
  • Ensure that quality standards are met in accordance with established protocols.
  • Effectively estimate current and future workloads for the hardware team.
  • Conduct thorough technical reviews of hardware designs and documentation.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and project managers regarding electronics design inquiries.
  • Collaborate with the hardware team to improve design processes, procedures, systems, and documentation.

Requirements:

  • Be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or hold a valid working visa.
  • Hold a relevant degree from a reputable university (e.g., Bachelor of Electronics Engineering).
  • Possess at least 7 years of professional experience as an electronics design engineer.
  • Be registered as a professional engineer in Victoria (if based in Victoria).
  • Demonstrate competence in designing analog and digital electronics.
  • Have experience in designing electronic products from concept to manufacture.
  • Be proficient in Altium schematic capture and PCB layout software.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Be capable of working independently and collaboratively.
