Outdoor Horticulture Trainee

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Outdoor Horticulture Trainee in Bendigo VIC. This is a fantastic opportunity to start your career in horticulture and gain hands-on experience in landscape gardening.

As a trainee, you will work under the guidance of a dedicated mentor to complete your Cert III in Parks and Gardens qualification. You will receive all necessary training fees and PPE paid for, allowing you to focus on developing your skills and knowledge.

The role involves working outdoors, preparing new garden sites, loading and unloading gardening supplies, and assisting with planting and transplanting seeds, bulbs, flowers, shrubs, trees, and lawns. You will also operate ride-on mowers, whipper snippers, and hedge trimmers.

To be successful in this role, you must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident with the right to work in Australia, have a minimum completion of Year 10 High School, hold a driver's license, and have reliable transportation. A love for working outdoors is essential.

The salary for this role is approximately $55,000 per annum, based on the location and industry standards. As an employee of Ai Group Apprentice and Trainee Centre, you will have access to mentoring from experienced industry professionals throughout your apprenticeship.

This is a 36-month apprenticeship, with 7am-4:56pm working hours and two RDOs per month. The location is Bendigo VIC, providing a great opportunity to live and work in a regional area.
