Classroom Teacher Position at St Clare's Catholic Primary School

St Clare's Catholic Primary School is seeking a dedicated and passionate classroom teacher to join our team. As a teacher at our school, you will be part of a collaborative and innovative learning environment, working closely with a team of dedicated and experienced educators.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement the MACS Flourishing Learners Vision for Instruction
- Participate in weekly Professional Learning Communities (PLC) supported by curriculum leaders
- Engage in opportunities for external Professional Development, such as Little Learners Love Literacy (P-2) or PhOrMeS (3-6)
- Facilitate planning on a weekly basis, with a focus on engaging learning experiences based on current learning and evidence-based teaching practices
- Participate in Instructional Coaching and be assigned a Coach to support individual professional development
- Support the school's implementation of evidence-based practices, such as the Science of Reading and Explicit Direct Instruction
Requirements:
- Willingness to collaborate, support, and contribute to the building of a professional learning culture
- Commitment to working with students from diverse cultural backgrounds
- Ability to plan and implement engaging learning experiences based on current learning and evidence-based teaching practices
- Commitment to Catholic education
- Willingness to build strong partnerships and links between our families and school
- Ability to adhere to St Clare's Child Safety Policy and Code of Conduct and other policies relevant to Ministerial Order 1359
- Current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching with an up-to-date Criminal Record check
- Ability to develop and maintain respectful and caring relationships with students, families, and colleagues
- Understanding and demonstrated use of evidence-based best practice
- Capacity to use data to make informed decisions about learning and teaching
- Accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic School is desirable
