We are seeking a talented individual to join our Investments team. This role will be based in the Sydney or Melbourne office, with a hybrid setup that requires working at least three days a week in the office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to business growth through the application of analytical techniques and methodologies on various projects across Mercer Investments' service offering, focusing on provision of investment services and advice to the insurance industry.
  • Support delivery of client project work through research, analysis, applying relevant methodologies, attending client meetings, and drafting reports.
  • Develop own capability through informal and formal learning opportunities.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A relevant undergraduate qualification.
  • Strong technical base across investments and/or actuarial.
  • Team player skills.

Bonus Points

  • Relevant postgraduate qualifications or completed/working towards professional certifications (CFA/CIMA/FIAA/similar).
  • Strong understanding of applicable regulatory frameworks (e.g. LAGIC) for insurers.
  • Business development capabilities.

About this Role

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering investment consulting services to insurers and enhancing Mercer's offerings across various insurance sectors.

You will collaborate with Mercer's top-tier manager research and capital market teams, further developing your technical investment knowledge.

You will engage in a diverse range of strategic investment consulting projects for various institutions, such as superannuation funds, endowments, and foundations.

We count on you to contribute to the business through the application of analytical techniques and methodologies, support delivery of client project work, develop own capability, and participate in internal projects to improve Mercer.
