About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as an Auxiliary Firefighter. As a member of our team, you will play a critical role in responding to emergency incidents and promoting community safety and emergency preparedness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to fire and other emergency incidents, working collaboratively with other team members to ensure effective and safe outcomes.
  • Promote community safety and emergency preparedness through community education activities and initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain competencies through regular drills and training courses, ensuring safety and effectiveness on the fire ground.
  • Maintain the required attendance standards for emergency incidents and training.
  • Operate specialist firefighting and rescue equipment in a safe and effective manner.
  • Contribute to upkeep and hygiene of station facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Ensure maintenance and repair of operational equipment and station facilities.
  • Contribute to incident reporting and general station administration as required.
Requirements
  • Australian Permanent Resident Status.
  • Manual C Class driver's licence.
  • Employers written consent to attend incidents and emergencies (where applicable).
  • Live or work within a reasonable distance of auxiliary fire station.
