About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Head Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Frenchs Forest Veterinary Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring our veterinary nursing staff, ensuring the highest level of patient care and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor veterinary nursing staff to ensure excellent patient care and customer service.
- Prepare patients for surgery, administer medication, and communicate with clients on their pet's progress.
- Assist with consultations, maintain a high level of organisation and cleanliness in the hospital, and demonstrate excellent animal handling skills.
- Provide support and mentorship to staff, and lead by example in maintaining a positive and supportive work environment.
Requirements:
- Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing with 3+ years Vet Nurse experience. Head/Lead Vet Nurse experience preferred but not essential.
- Prior experience and ability to prepare patients for surgery, administer medication, communicate with clients on their pet's progress, and assist with consultations.
- Ability to work well within a team environment, maintain a consistently high level of organisation and cleanliness in the hospital, and demonstrate excellent animal handling skills.
- Good organisational and communication skills, amazing customer service skills, and ability to lead a team.
- Passionate and genuine love for Animals.
