About the Role

MACA Mining Pty Ltd is seeking a highly experienced Senior Mining Operations Manager to join our team at our Cape Preston Operation. Working an 8/6 roster, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient site operations, while satisfying the client's requirements as per the contract.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, lead, and monitor teams to achieve performance targets while ensuring adherence to MACA's standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Develop and implement effective maintenance strategies to maintain the operational fleet.
  • Collaborate with the Area Manager to ensure the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Manage and administer the project, including commercial management and planning.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Build and maintain key stakeholder relationships.
  • Monitor overall performance and take appropriate action to maintain targets.
  • Provide accurate, timely, and effective progress reports.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years mine site leadership experience in open pit hard rock mining.
  • Proven experience in effective management and administration of the project.
  • Demonstrated experience in commercial management and strong planning skills.
  • Commitment, respect, and compliance to the MACA safety, health, and environmental policies.
  • The ability to build key stakeholder relationships.
  • Proven contract mining experience.
  • Quarry Managers Certificate of Competency.
