Job Summary

This is a rewarding opportunity for a Project Manager to join Valvoline Global's team in Wetherill Park, Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting large capital goals and objectives within the Australia-Pacific region.

About the Role

As a Project Manager at Valvoline Global, you will lead large capital plant projects while following a front-end loaded project work process. You will supervise 3rd-party engineering support, equipment vendors, and contractors. Additionally, you will work with Supply Chain and Corporate Engineering teams to develop and maintain a culture that emphasizes environmental stewardship, employee health and safety, legal compliance, and community relations.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead large capital plant projects across multiple project phases, developing deliverables over the project lifecycle.
  • Supervise 3rd-party engineering support, equipment vendors, and contractors.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain and Corporate Engineering teams to promote environmental sustainability, employee well-being, and community involvement.
  • Work closely with Risk Management to ensure domestic plant sites comply with regulations.
  • Participate in company audits, either leading or assisting as required.
  • Develop and/or understand long-term business goals with Supply Chain Planning.
  • Successfully manage commercial contracts for assigned projects of varying sizes.
  • Support the creation of monthly capital project cash flow reports.
  • Encourage the adoption and development of new engineering specifications and standards for current and future projects.
  • Collaborate with Valvoline's engineering team to update and maintain facility drawings (e.g., plant general arrangement drawings, electrical one-line drawings, and facility P&ID drawings).
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in heavy industrial/process work and project execution.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Civil, Chemical, Process, or Mechanical).
  • Experience in process commercialization from ideation to operational turnover focused on process flow, liquid transfer, and packaging is highly regarded.
  • A proactive and positive attitude with the ability to use initiative.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, including strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and experience using project management software and tools.
  • Strategic and analytical thinking skills with the ability to problem solve.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office applications.
