Kitchen Assistant

As a kitchen hand, you will be responsible for preparing ingredients, cooking duties, and maintaining a clean and orderly kitchen environment. You will work in a fast-paced food manufacturing setting where attention to detail and ability to multitask are crucial.
You will be involved in various tasks such as washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and labeling ingredients. You will also undertake basic cooking duties such as reducing sauces and parboiling food.
Furthermore, you will maintain a clean and organized workspace by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash, and adhering to health and safety standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Demonstrated experience in a cook role or similar capacity is highly desirable with at least 6 months of experience.
- A Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery is essential.
- Flexibility and a willingness to take on new challenges and responsibilities are required.
- Excellent communication skills are necessary to effectively interact with colleagues and management.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and prioritize tasks efficiently.
