Job Title: Cyber Security Operations Centre Team Lead

A challenging opportunity exists for an experienced team leader to join our cybersecurity operations centre.

Job Description:

This is a dynamic and technical role that requires exceptional leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills. As the team lead, you will be responsible for leading a skilled cyber operations team in a fast-paced environment, driving monitoring, detection, and response to cyber threats, leading investigations, mentoring junior staff, and enhancing the overall security posture of the organisation through process improvement and advanced tooling.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee SOC operations including threat detection, response, and incident handling
  • Lead, mentor, and develop junior security analysts within the team
  • Conduct threat hunting, forensic analysis, and complex cyber investigations
  • Recommend and implement cybersecurity tools and solutions for enhanced capability
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Current NV1 clearance (or higher) with willingness to upgrade to NV2
  • Strong hands-on experience with SIEM (preferably Elastic) and vulnerability tools (e.g., Tenable Nessus)
  • Sound understanding of security frameworks and modern SOC practices
  • Demonstrated leadership, mentoring capability, and digital forensics skills
