About the Role

The Family Preservation and Reunification (FPR) Practitioner will play a key role in the leadership of the FPR team, working closely with the FPR Practice Leader to ensure high-quality practice and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development of the FPR team's services and quality improvement practices
  • Provide casework and support to staff and students in the FPR team
  • Develop and implement clinical interventions and family-centered practice with vulnerable children, young people, and families
  • Assess risks, needs, and safety for vulnerable children, young people, and families
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience and skills in assessment and clinical interventions and family-centered practice with vulnerable children, young people, and families
  • Sound knowledge of the Children, Youth and Families Act 2005 and policies relating to child welfare and the Best Interests of the Child Practice Model
  • Highly developed skills in assessing risks, needs, and safety for vulnerable children, young people, and families
