Driving Instructor for People with Disabilities

This role involves delivering safe and supportive driving instruction to individuals with diverse needs, using a purpose-built modified vehicle.

  • Deliver driving lessons tailored to participants' abilities and goals.
  • Work with individuals who may have physical, intellectual, or psychosocial disabilities.
  • Maintain accurate session notes and progress reports.
  • Communicate effectively with the team and participant families.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working with people with disability.
  • Access to a purpose-built vehicle fitted with dual controls, suitable for providing disability driving instruction.
  • A current Driving Instructor Authority in Victoria.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to manage challenging situations with patience and professionalism.
