Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Team Management: Lead and motivate the culinary team to achieve exceptional food quality and service standards.
- Menu Development: Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop and implement new menu concepts, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
- Food Safety and Quality: Ensure that all food safety and quality protocols are followed, and that the kitchen is maintained in a clean and organized manner.
- Inventory Management: Manage kitchen inventory, including ordering and receiving supplies, to ensure that the kitchen is well-stocked and that costs are controlled.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that all guests receive a high-quality dining experience.
- Experience: Previous leadership experience in a culinary role, preferably in a hotel or restaurant setting.
- Education: Diploma or certification in a culinary discipline is an asset.
- Skills: Proven track record of cost control, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.
The Executive Sous Chef will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with frequent standing, walking, and lifting of up to 30 pounds. The ability to work cohesively as part of a team and to focus attention on guest needs is essential.
