About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Crypto Journalist to join our team at Independent Reserve. As a Crypto Journalist, you will be responsible for researching and reporting on breaking news stories that impact the cryptocurrency industry globally and locally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research and report on breaking news stories that impact the cryptocurrency industry globally and locally via our blog and social media.
  • Write articles for our blog and socials, including technical financial content.
  • Identify topics and write scripts/content for our YouTube videos and podcasts.
  • Monitor and research financial markets and trends.
  • Assist with marketing strategies and goals.
  • Assist to prepare media releases.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies, focused on breaking news, community engagement, and driving brand awareness.
  • Create, curate, brief, and schedule engaging content for various social media platforms.
  • Ensure consistent MoM growth of organic reach and engagement across the blog and all social media platforms.
  • Monitor social media channels, respond to comments, messages, and reviews promptly, and foster meaningful interactions with our audience.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop visually appealing and cohesive content that reflects our brand's unique identity and position in the market.
  • Plan and execute social media campaigns, contests, and promotions to drive brand awareness, engagement, and customer acquisition.
  • Work closely with our partners to run social media brand collaborations to further drive brand awareness.
  • Analyse metrics and performance data to track KPIs, identify trends, and optimise strategies for improved reach and engagement.
  • Coordinate with influencers, UGC creators, and partners.
  • Ensure all content is aligned with both our written and visual brand identities.
About You

We are looking for a candidate with a background in modern journalism, a strong interest in and knowledge of cryptocurrencies and the crypto ecosystem, and 2+ years' experience in a similar role. You should be proficient with CRMs and social media management tools, analytics platforms, etc. and have experience in the marketing and promotion of well-established brands or have social media side projects with a strong following and engagement.
