About the Role

The ICT Senior Project Manager will play a pivotal role in leading and delivering complex Cyber and Digital Identity projects that align with the agency's strategic objectives. This position requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in project management methodologies.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing, leading, and delivering complex projects
  • Developing, implementing, and evaluating project plans and schedules in accordance with the agency's project management framework
  • Collaborating with staff in immediate work area and with internal and external stakeholders
  • Overseeing project design, governance arrangements, and operational integration
  • Ensuring project deliverables and milestones are met on time and within budget

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, strategic thinking abilities, and a proven track record of delivering technology projects in a government or large-scale organisational context.

Mandatory Criteria

The following criteria are essential for this role:

  • Demonstrated and proven experience in delivering large and complex ICT projects related to whole of government capabilities or incident management response systems for Digital Identity or myGov
  • Demonstrated ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels, including senior stakeholders
  • Formal certifications in project management, such as Prince 2 or Agile
  • Candidate's ability to demonstrate experience in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks to support project delivery
  • Understanding of cybersecurity practices and data management will be advantageous for overseeing technical aspects of projects
