Job Description:

As a Data Architect, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing our company's data architecture. Your expertise will be instrumental in building and optimizing 'big data' data pipelines, architectures, and data sets. You will work closely with our software developers, database architects, data analysts, and data scientists to ensure optimal data delivery architecture is consistent throughout ongoing projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Determine Data Requirements: Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements.
  • Design and Implement Data Infrastructure: Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using Snowflake and AWS 'big data' technologies.
  • Streamline Data Processes: Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
  • Support Stakeholders: Work with stakeholders including the Product, Data and IT teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

We are seeking an experienced professional with a strong background in data engineering, big data tools, relational databases, API development, and advanced working SQL knowledge. The ideal candidate will have experience building and optimizing 'big data' data pipelines, architectures, and data sets, as well as knowledge of Snowflake Marketplace.
