About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Data Analyst to join our Institutional Capital Reform Program in Melbourne. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a crucial role in supporting business owners, providing timely analysis, and ensuring the smooth execution of regular reporting processes.

Our talented team leverages data, analytics, and reporting to formulate insights and work with project and business stakeholders to develop solutions compliant with APRA's revised Credit Risk RWA standards. You will have the opportunity to apply your analytical skills and expertise to drive business outcomes and make a meaningful impact on our customers' financial wellbeing and sustainability.

Your Responsibilities
  • Source, organise and manage data from different institutional and risk systems.
  • Engage business and system stakeholders.
  • Execute regular reporting and liaise with the broader team.
  • Support project business analyst to elicit system requirements, document logic and test new/updated data elements required for capital calculation.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring:

  • Previous experience as a Data Analyst.
  • A strong understanding of institutional systems, products, and processes.
  • The ability to maintain high standards of accuracy and work under pressure to achieve deadlines.
  • Knowledge of APRA's prudential standards (e.g. APS112, APS113) would be an advantage but not necessary.
  • Hands-on knowledge and experience with tools and techniques for analysis, data manipulation, and presentation (e.g. SAS, SQL, Tableau, VBA, QlikSense).
  • Data visualisation skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and good working knowledge of other Microsoft and Atlassian products.

We estimate the salary for this position to be around $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. This is a 12-month opportunity based in Melbourne, Australia, with full-time hours.
