About the Position

The Education Support Officer - Curriculum will be responsible for supporting a teacher in the development and delivery of targeted, intensive literacy and numeracy programs.

The role involves working one-on-one and in small group support, developing Personal Learning Plans and collecting data (particularly ACSF and NCCD adjustments).

Key Responsibilities & Experience

  • A minimum of 3-5 years' experience with disenfranchised youth, in an education setting – essential.
  • DHS Working with Children Clearance.
  • Catholic Police Clearance – granted by the Screening & Verification Authority – Catholic Archdiocese of Adelaide.
  • Ability to develop and implement a range of appropriate strategies to support young people with their learning;
  • Demonstrated capacity to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team;
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and establish and maintain professional relationships with all stakeholders.

About the Organisation

We are a campus of Edmund Rice Education Australia (EREA). Our school provides an educational and wellbeing service for young people aged 12 – 21 years of age.

We strive to provide a supportive environment where young people can achieve positive educational and wellbeing outcomes.

We offer a variety of SACE subjects, internal and external VET (Vocational Education Training) courses and vocational training such as White card, First aid Certificate, and other options. Young people also have the opportunity to access a variety of engagement activities including music, health and physical education, art, catering/hospitality, community service and any other areas of interest.

About the Role

About You

  • A SA Working with Children Clearance Notice and a Catholic Archdiocese Working with Children Check.
  • Previous experience in the education sector with knowledge and understanding of the local First Nations communities.
