About the Role
The HEW level 6 salary + 17% superannuation and staff benefits make this an attractive opportunity. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert administrative support to the Early Childhood and Education teaching areas in relation to all aspects of student placements. This includes placing students in facilities, responding to placement-related queries, liaising with departmental and placement administrative staff and external facilitators regarding documentation and the recording and filing of student placement details. A key part of this role involves fostering strong working relationships with placement facilities and industry partners.
To succeed in this role, you will need to have experience in an administrative role, including coordination of functions and provision of advice and interpretation of policy and procedures in a vocational or tertiary education institution. You should also possess excellent interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to communicate, liaise, and work with people at all levels both internal and external to the university. Additionally, you will require the ability to work collaboratively and flexibly within a team environment, as well as having excellent organisational and time management skills, along with the ability to effectively manage competing priorities.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in an administrative role, including coordination of functions and provision of advice and interpretation of policy and procedures in a vocational or tertiary education institution
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to communicate, liaise, and work with people at all levels both internal and external to the university
- Able to work collaboratively and flexibly within a team environment
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, along with the ability to effectively manage competing priorities
- Highly proficient computer skills, in particular MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and database applications
