Geotechnical Internship

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual to support our geotechnical risk management team at our Mungari site.

  • Data Collection and Analysis: Assist with data collection, basic analysis, and reporting to support operational planning within the Integrated Planning team.
  • Site Inspections and Safety Training: Participate in site inspections, audits, and safety training sessions to observe and document geotechnical hazards.
  • Risk Communication Tools: Maintain and update visual risk communication tools, supporting rock sampling and testing programs under supervision.
  • Back-Analyzing Rockfalls: Contribute to back-analyzing rockfalls and slope failures using site data, engaging in presentations and discussions on geotechnical observations and findings.
About You
  • You must be currently enrolled in a Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Geological Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mining Engineering, or Geology degree.
  • Some experience with relevant software and systems is preferred.
  • You should possess strong problem-solving skills, effective communication across verbal, written, numerical, and graphical formats.
  • You will need to uphold high work standards, build strong relationships with peers and leaders, and work independently to meet personal and team goals.
