About the Role

  • Contribute to all stages of the software lifecycle on a short project exploring the design and simulation of multi-modal sensor satellite constellation
  • Full-time (35 hours week), 12-month fixed term contract based at UNSW Canberra
  • $110,073-$119,132 + 17% superannuation

What You Will Do

The successful candidate will be responsible for software development on a collaborative research project with industry. The focus of this project is the modelling of orbital mechanics, conjunction analysis and satellite constellation design optimisation.

Your Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in computer or software engineering or a related discipline, ideally with 5 years experience using C/C++ or C#
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks efficiently to meet project goals
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively and respectfully with individuals from diverse technical and non-technical backgrounds
