About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Site Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating on-site construction engineering activities, ensuring short-term planning and programming are completed in conjunction with site supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with technical specifications, legislation, approvals, and standards, as well as risk management processes.
  • Conduct job planning and programming, including short-range and intermediate activities for construction projects, for approval by the Project Manager.
  • Input information and undertake minor design on site, monitor, and recommend changes to design details to increase ease of construction.
  • Exercise professional judgment in resolving engineering issues, such as construction methods, design, engineering procedures, etc.
  • Demonstrate financial management skills, including cost reduction and budget control.
  • Verify subcontractors' claims and variations.
  • Implement and communicate risk controls and actions involved in project delivery and implementation.
  • Report on project performance, compliance, defects, and non-conformance.
  • Undertake safety, environment, and quality risk assessments to ensure acceptable quality of structures and finishes.

Requirements:

  • Construction management and technical skills relevant to the program of work and discipline area.
  • Experience in planning, development, and review of complex projects.
  • Implementation of audits and schedule processes.
  • Skills in document and record management, progress, and performance reporting.
  • Risk assessment and monitoring of risk controls in project delivery.
  • Proficiency in relevant software: Microsoft Suite; Primavera 6 (advantageous), Aconex, etc.
  • Strong communication skills, including facilitating meetings and basic cost control skills.
