The Director of Engineering and Technology will lead the strategic evolution of operational telecommunications and associated network infrastructure to meet client needs and broader government objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a technology strategy and architecture to optimize current and enhance future customer and broader government outcomes.
- Lead the state-wide technology deployment and network consolidation and expansion program to meet emergency services and other client operational needs.
- Develop, maintain, and communicate network policy, standards, performance specifications, documentation, and deployment techniques.
- Identify and recommend technology and other solutions that optimize customer and broader government outcomes.
- Develop and maintain professional networks, explore partnership opportunities, and negotiate with business, industry, and government representatives and other stakeholders to represent the government's interests.
- Identify emerging issues, risks, and opportunities and provide timely, relevant, authoritative information and advice to the Chief Technology Officer to facilitate informed decision making.
- Lead architecture and the effective and efficient delivery of significant, strategic programs of work often involving multiple stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Strong leadership and technical skills to drive strategic evolution of operational telecommunications and associated network infrastructure.
- Ability to develop and implement technology strategy and architecture to optimize current and enhance future customer and broader government outcomes.
- Experience in leading state-wide technology deployment and network consolidation and expansion programs.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills to develop and maintain professional networks and explore partnership opportunities.
