Maintenance Handyman/Woman

As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in maintaining our facilities and ensuring the smooth operation of our services. This is a varied role that requires a self-motivated individual with the ability to prioritize tasks and follow direction.

• Perform basic plumbing system repairs, including cistern valve replacements and tap installations.
• Paint offices, toilet facilities, yard structures, and doors to maintain a high standard of appearance.
• Repair gyprock and perform minor carpentry work as required.
• Conduct basic electrical maintenance, including light globe replacements and minor electrical repairs.
• Carry out minor hardstand repairs and repair cracks in walkways.
• Replace bus parking wheel stops and clean rain gutters and drains as needed.
• Maintain door locks and lubricate them as required.
• Install depot safety signage and replace office ceiling tiles.
• Document daily work completed and comply with safe work practices to avoid injury to yourself and others.

• Comply with safe work practices and take reasonable care of your own health and safety and that of others.
• Wear personal protective equipment and clothing where necessary.
• Comply with any direction given by management for health and safety.
• Not misuse or interfere with anything provided for health and safety.
• Report all accidents and incidents on the job immediately.
• Have the physical ability to frequently lift and carry materials weighing up to 16kg and occasionally up to 25kg.
