Role Overview:

As a key member of the operational risk audit team, you will play a crucial role in assessing and evaluating Bank activities. You will deliver objective reports to senior management and regulatory bodies.

You will provide expert advice on governance and risk management across the Bank as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead teams in providing independent assurance by reviewing the design and effectiveness of the Bank's governance, risk management framework, and controls for mitigating risks.
  • Ensure that governance frameworks and controls are comprehensive and promote effective risk mitigation by management.
  • Guide teams to complete engagements in a positive, collaborative, and professional manner, fostering staff engagement.
  • Handle complex aspects of engagement scopes as needed, facilitating management's agreement on scope and risk assessments, and offering insightful findings and recommendations for improvement.
  • Embrace innovation and create a supportive environment for experimentation during engagements, including developing analytics routines and preparing deliverables.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the Audit's strategic plan, Quality Assurance and Improvement Program (QAIP), and related procedures and methodologies.

As a leader, you must demonstrate significant knowledge and experience in:

  • Proven ability to work independently and take a leadership role on audit projects.
  • Extensive experience in leading audit teams through complex audits and reviews.
  • Proficiency in computer-assisted audit techniques and tools.
  • Demonstrated expertise in auditing banking operations, financial services, and financial instruments.
  • Advanced understanding of risk management frameworks and enterprise-wide risk management.
  • Expertise in risk-based auditing methodologies, including internal controls and audit procedures.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related disciplines.
