Automotive Electrical Technician - A Key Role in Vehicle Fit-Outs and Technical Support

Description

This role is responsible for maintaining electrical and communication systems in government vehicles, including diagnosing faults, repairing, testing, and resolving issues to ensure operational readiness.

  • Install, configure, and maintain AVL systems and other technical assets to support real-time tracking and situational awareness.
  • Deliver high-quality technical support for operational projects, meeting service standards and delivery schedules.
  • Ensure fleet and equipment compliance with relevant industry standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven experience in vehicle fit-outs, mobile communications, electrical installations, or equipment integration.
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle battery and wiring systems, including 12-volt electronic integration.
  • Certificate IV or higher in a relevant technical trade (e.g. automotive electrical, communications, electronics, or mechanical fields).
