About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our Finance team at CMV Group. As a key member of the team, you will play a critical role in providing financial support and analysis to ensure the company's future stability, profitability, and growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and develop financial reports, including profit and loss accounts, balance sheets, cash flow forecasts, and monthly management accounts.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Coordinate the development of annual operating and capital budgets, and upload them into the finance system.
  • Reconciliation and Compliance: Prepare and input reconciliations for payroll tax, workers compensation, and other salary-related costs, and ensure compliance with all financial regulations and accounting standards.
  • Tax and Payroll: Prepare and lodge tax returns for Business Activity Statements, Fringe Benefits Tax, PAYG, and other relevant taxes.
  • Payroll and Banking: Upload payroll files into the banking system and manage the creation of revenue and net return models for each pool.
  • Financial Modeling: Work with colleagues to develop financial models to assist with determining whether to purchase equipment, restructure, acquire other businesses, and other strategic decisions.
  • System Development: Be a pro-active team member in enhancing and/or replacing computer-based accounting systems.
  • Procedure Maintenance: Maintain procedure manuals for all pool-related and financial activities.
  • Grower Management: Liaise with operating companies, calculate and process the payment of grower pool payments, and prepare quarterly pool cash flow forecasts.
  • Cash Crop Valuations: Calculate cash crop valuations and arrange for payments, communicate with growers regarding their crop returns and charges, and assist with grower reports and analyses.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Degree qualified Accountant (CA or CPA accreditation) with a minimum of 8 years' experience.
  • Technical Skills: High level of proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office; experience with electronic invoice processing systems preferred.
  • Soft Skills: Demonstrated delivery of continuous improvement initiatives, excellent verbal and written communication skills, highly organised with excellent time management skills, ability to work autonomously, and ability to prioritise conflicting needs.
