About the Role

We're on the hunt for an experienced professional to lead key aspects of our native Android application, working closely with design and product teams to build polished UI that is both beautiful and performant.

Our ideal candidate will not only deliver high-quality code but also contribute to our core features and architecture, ensuring fast iteration without compromising quality.

The role requires someone who stays up-to-date with best practices, has a familiarity with bleeding-edge features from Apple, and is passionate about building consumer-facing products.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Working with Design and Product teams to build UI that is both beautiful and performant.
  • Architecting and building the app to optimize for performance, growth, scalability, ease of future development, and code quality.
  • Writing unit and functional tests to ensure maximum code and app quality.
  • Investigating, debugging, and fixing user-reported production issues.
  • Brainstorming new product ideas and improvements alongside the design and product teams.
  • Refactoring existing code where needed in order to improve quality of life for other engineers.

Requirements include 2+ years of experience with native Android development in Kotlin, consumer-facing product and design instincts, and a desire to have a voice in product decisions. Preferred experience includes GraphQL, Jetpack, and working in an early-stage startup on growth and scale challenges.
