Electrical Trade Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Trade Assistant to join our team on a fixed term project contract basis.

This role will be based at a mine site in SA on a 2 & 1 roster, 12-hour days.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with our electrical construction teams to prepare for the electrical and instrumentation installation of an underground hard rock mine.

  • Complete an infrastructure project on an underground crusher
  • Assist in the installation of ventilation systems, including ductwork, fans, and air handling units
  • Aid in the assembly and installation of ductwork, ensuring proper sizing and connections
  • Support the installation and maintenance of ventilation fans, motors, and associated components
  • Assist in gathering and organizing materials needed for electrical projects
About You

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Previous underground mining experience
  • Previous experience as an electrical TA
  • Committed to maintaining our safety culture
  • Flexible attitude to work with all our crews
  • Able to pass a full medical and fitness test

You will also need to hold or obtain the following:

  • C class driver's license
  • High-Risk Work License – with WP
  • White Construction Card
  • Working at Heights (current within 18 months)
  • National Police Check
