Disability Support Professional

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled individual to join our team as a Disability Support Professional.

  • This role requires you to possess a valid police check, a current driver's license, and experience driving a disability van.
  • You will also need to have an NDIS worker clearance check, a Covid-19 vaccination certificate, and a current first aid and CPR certificate.
  • Additionally, you must have a working with children check, and a Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support (or relevant), and a Certificate/Diploma in Mental Health, Counselling, Psychology, or Social Work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing assistance with daily living activities such as medication prompting, housekeeping, and meal preparation.
  • Transporting individuals to medical appointments, health-related events, and community access activities.
  • Engaging participants in grocery shopping, outings, and activities that promote their overall well-being.
  • Ensuring personal care needs are met through personal hygiene, toileting, showering, and dressing.
  • Implementing behavioral support plans and NDIS care plans to ensure the best possible outcomes for our participants.

  • A strong ability to listen actively and provide empathy.
  • The capacity to redirect and diffuse escalating situations effectively.
  • Confidence in asserting boundaries and maintaining professional relationships.
