Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled Estimator with a robust background in Architecture to join our dynamic team. This position involves comprehensive evaluation and cost estimation for various insulation projects. The ideal candidate will possess an in-depth understanding of the insulation sector and the capability to provide precise, competitive, and timely estimates to support our clients' business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Blueprint Analysis: Examine blueprints, construction drawings, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates for insulation projects.
  • Estimation Tool Utilization: Effectively employ the PlanSwift Estimator tool for accurate and efficient calculations.
  • Building Codes Application: Comprehend and apply relevant building codes and standards associated with insulation.
  • Material Selection: Choose suitable insulation materials and methods for each project, considering factors such as thermal performance, moisture control, and fire resistance.
  • Collaboration: Work alongside contractors, suppliers, and clients to gather necessary information and negotiate optimal pricing.
  • Knowledge Maintenance: Keep abreast of the latest insulation technologies and trends.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present reports detailing the cost breakdown, including materials, labor, and time estimates.
  • Project Management Liaison: Collaborate closely with the project management team to ensure estimates align with project objectives and timelines.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as an Estimator, with a preference for candidates experienced in using the PlanSwift Estimator tool.
  • Knowledge of various insulation materials and their applications.
  • Proficient in estimation software, particularly PlanSwift.
  • Strong analytical skills with an aptitude for mathematics.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
  • Solid background in Architecture to understand and assess design implications on insulation needs.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and project management skills.
  • Attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and efficiency.
