Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager to join our AWS Public Sector Sales team. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for driving our sales strategy and partnering with our Australia & New Zealand Public Sector Sales Organization to manage, optimize, and transform our investment portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior Sales, Business Development, Engineering, and Finance leaders to build financial plans, analyze large-scale investment opportunities, develop new go-to-market strategies, and identify opportunities for business growth.
  • Develop and evolve complex financial models that analyze program- and portfolio-level revenue, profit, and ROI impacts.
  • Build rhythm of the business processes that deliver ongoing insights and support day-to-day decision making.
  • Engage and influence across the AWS Sales, Finance, and Operations hierarchy, collaborating with stakeholders to optimize our customer's experience, achieve common goals, and monitor risks.
  • Monitor compliance with controls and systems, and develop new processes and controls as needed to support internal and external financial reporting requirements.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
  • 3+ years of advanced proficiency in Excel (pivots, lookups, etc.) experience
  • 6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
  • 6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
  • 6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
