This is a Permanent 9-day fortnight working arrangement – Worsley Alumina DIDO in Boddington WA. As the Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for leading a team of mechanical discipline engineers and external engineering service providers supporting the Mobile Equipment Fleet Maintenance and Reliability.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement equipment maintenance strategies for all equipment within the operational area of responsibility, ensuring adequate information is captured in the task list and associated work instructions to perform the intended tasks to the required standard safely.
- Lead a team of experienced mechanical engineers, promoting discipline in engineering work, verifying quality of completed tasks, and enhancing technical knowledge of team members and other Engineering employees in regard to the mechanical discipline.
- Identify all equipment requiring inspections and repairs based on legislative and statutory requirements, create Safety Critical Equipment master data in SAP, and develop and deploy maintenance strategies to meet the requirements of Safety Critical Equipment.
You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
- Visible field safety leadership and an ability to drive safety and performance excellence.
- Knowledge of Mobile Equipment Maintenance & Reliability in the Mining context.
- Knowledge of mechanical engineering methodologies, tools, and software.
- Significant experience in delivering complete life cycle of design works within a brownfield environment within the resources or other heavy industry.
- Sound understanding and proven experience in developing and managing engineering budgets and schedules.
Qualifications for this position are:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
